Dr. Bharathi S.

Principal

With over 25 years of research and 23 years of teaching experience, Dr Bharathi S. has built a distinguished career in life sciences, food microbiology in particular, and other areas of agricultural and environmental microbiology in general. A doctorate from CFTRI, Mysore, she has made significant contributions to higher education through her roles in curriculum development, academic governance, and research mentoring. Her work explores Bacteriology, Environmental & Agricultural Microbiology, and Food safety, with several national and international publications to her credit.
Dr. Bharathi has published over 35 peer-reviewed research papers and authored four book chapters with reputed international publishers. Recognized with the CSIR-SRF and Seed Money for Young Scientist Research Awards, she continues to inspire the next generation of researchers through her academic leadership and commitment to innovation in science education.

Dr. B. S. Dwarakanath

Research Advisor

With over 45 years of research and teaching experience, Dr. B. S. Dwarakanath has built a distinguished career in the fields of Biophysics and Radiation Biology. With an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Biophysics, his work spans across cellular and systemic radiation biology, energy metabolism, cancer biology, and membrane biophysics, contributing significantly to the understanding of radiation countermeasures and bioanalytical methods.
He has authored more than 300 presentations at national and international conferences, as well as over 40 book chapters. His doctoral research focused on Energy Metabolism and Repair of Radiation Damage in Brain Tumors, a topic that continues to inform his scientific pursuits and mentorship.

Dr. Venkatesh N. S.

Principal Scientist

With 20 years of experience in the life sciences and biotechnology, Dr. Venkatesh N. S. has a distinguished career that bridges laboratory research and industry applications. Holding an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry, his work focuses on techno-commercial projects that take innovations from proof of concept and prototyping to regulatory validation, scaling, manufacturing, and commercialization. His research spans medical diagnosis, food, environmental, and agricultural biotechnology, with a particular emphasis on assay kits, reagent development, and optical biosensor technology. Dr. Venkatesh combines scientific rigor with practical application, guiding projects that translate cutting-edge research into impactful products.

With 26 years of teaching experience, including five years internationally and one year in industry, Dr. Srinivas has built a distinguished career in computer science and data analytics, focusing on translating complex computational concepts into practical applications for both academic and industrial settings. He has taught a wide range of subjects, including big data technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, MongoDB), cloud computing, programming languages (Java, C, C++, Python, R, Julia, Scala), database management, computer networks, operating systems, software engineering, and simulation and modelling.
Dr. Srinivas combines deep technical knowledge with academic leadership, serving as a Controller of Examinations (COE) in data administration, quality assurance, reporting, and examination system advancement. He has conducted numerous workshops and guest lectures on emerging technologies, including R programming, Julia for data science, Python, Hadoop, and big data analytics.

Dr. Ananda Vardhan Hebbani

With over 23 years of teaching experience, Dr. Ananda has built a strong academic career in the fields of toxicology and membrane biochemistry. Holding an M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D., his work focuses on exploring the biochemical mechanisms underlying toxicity and membrane functions, bridging fundamental science with applied biomedical research.
He has taught a wide range of subjects, including Membrane Biochemistry, Molecular Physiology, Biochemical Genetics, Immunology, and Biotechnology, and is deeply committed to mentoring students through interdisciplinary and collaborative research approaches. 
His professional strengths lie in mentoring, communication, team management, and fostering inter- and multidisciplinary scientific inquiry. Dr. Ananda also holds certifications in Clinical Research and Data Management as well as Radioactive Usage.

She has taught a diverse range of subjects, including C, C++, Java, DBMS, Advanced Algorithm, Python Programming, Machine Learning, and Tableau, equipping students with both conceptual depth and practical skills.

As the Head of the Department of Languages at Indian Academy Degree College – Autonomous, she has been instrumental in shaping the department’s academic vision and fostering a culture of communication and critical thinking among students.
Her teaching spans Generic English, Additional English, and English Literature, with a focus on helping students develop linguistic proficiency and literary appreciation. Dr. Geetha Ravi Mevada

Dr Geetha Ravi Mevada is an accomplished English Professor and academic leader with 34 years of experience in higher education. She has served as Professor at the Indian Academy Degree College–Autonomous, contributing significantly to academics, curriculum development, faculty mentoring, and three NAAC accreditation cycles.
Her expertise spans TESOL, ESL teaching, instructional design, creative learning strategies, and working with diverse learner groups. A researcher in African American Literature, she holds a PhD and an MPhil, as well as advanced qualifications in English and Language Teaching.
A frequent resource person, speaker, editor, and conference chair, Dr Geetha Ravi has contributed to national and international academic forums and textbook committees. She is widely recognised for her student-centred approach, strong communication skills, and commitment to educational excellence.
