University Grants Commission (UGC) Recognition

Indian Academy Degree College – Autonomous has one of the rare distinctions of being recognised as a college with ‘2(f)’ and ’12(B)’ status, by the University Grants Commission, Government of India. This special status enables the college to receive central assistance and grants under teacher and student related schemes. Many a faculty member has succeeded in obtaining grants for research and developmental activities.

Bengaluru North University Affiliation

IADCA - Degree College Autonomous has been sanctioned Academic Autonomy as prescribed by UGC under section 64(1) of Karnataka State Universities Act, 2000 and under Section 4.8 of Bengaluru North University Autonomous College/Body Regulations-2005. IADCA offers UG and PG courses in science, commerce, management and humanities – 14 undergraduate courses, 13 postgraduate courses. IADC – Degree College Autonomous has well-trained and qualified teaching staff and adequate supporting staff. It boasts of well-planned infrastructure with a strong ICT interface that fosters the teaching and learning process. Student-centric learning is given prime importance.

NAAC Re-accreditation

Indian Academy Degree College -Autonomous has been assessed and reaccredited consistently with highest grades by National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC). In the first cycle the college was awarded Grade A with a CGPA of 3.09. In the second cycle the college was awarded with Grade A with CGPA of 3.27 and in the third cycle of Accreditation the college was awarded the highest Grade A++ with a CGPA of 3.61 out of 4.0.

ISO Certification

Indian Academy Degree College - Autonomous has been recognised as an ISO 9001:2008 certified organisation by internationally reputed TUV Rheinland. To align with the ideals of internal quality assurance, standard procedures and formats are used in the planning and execution of various activities prescribed in the quality manuals of ISO 9001:2008. Internal academic audits are regularly conducted to sustain and improve the quality of internal processes and other teaching-learning aspects.

The College obtained Grade ‘A’ in the first cycle of NAAC Accreditation as well. The score obtained in the first cycle was 3.09 out of 4.0.
