CHEMISTRY

The study of matter and the substances that make it up is the focus of the scientific subdiscipline of chemistry. The characteristics of these substances and the reactions they go through to produce new substances are also covered. Atoms, ions, and molecules, which in turn make up elements and compounds, are the main subjects of chemistry. Through chemical bonding, these chemical species frequently communicate with one another. It is significant to remember that the study of chemistry also examines how matter and energy interact.

The science known as quantum mechanics studies the properties, compositions, and structures of elements and compounds as well as how they can change and the energy that is emitted or absorbed during such changes.

The five primary branches of chemistry are physical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry. Follow the buttons provided below to learn more about each individual branch. In addition to these main departments, chemistry has a number of specialist specialties that address issues that span disciplines. Medicinal chemistry, neurochemistry, materials chemistry, nuclear chemistry, environmental chemistry, polymer chemistry, and thermochemistry are a few examples of this type of chemistry.

MICROBIOLOGY

The study of single-celled, multicellular, and Acellular microorganisms—as well as how each affects and contributes to the environment—is known as microbiology. It covers a variety of disciplines, such as medical, clinical research, agriculture, nanotechnology, chemical technology, and dairy, among others.

Microorganisms are undoubtedly present everywhere, and the fact that they have a wide range of environmental effects makes the research field exciting and captivating. The world has benefited from the development of dairy products, medications, vaccinations, enzymes, and vitamins, among other things. In addition, microbiology is concerned with how microorganisms interact with one another and with the environment as a whole. Microbiology is a popular topic in the fields of medicine, genetics, immunology, and food science for this same reason. Most prestigious universities and colleges in India provide undergraduate and graduate programmes.
