“REPORTS ON INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2022”

SERVE WITH PRIDE LEAD WITH CONDFIDENCE

Investiture Ceremony is an important event which gives a good start to the activities for the academic year. To follow the legacy, the Indian Academy Degree College-Autonomous, with Ms. Shobha S, and her team of Student Welfare Officers had organized the Investiture Ceremony for the academic Session 2022-2023 on 8TH of November.

“The pessimist complains about the wind, the optimist expects it to change but the leader adjusts the sails. If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are an excellent leader”

The ceremony was to badge the leaders of this academic year who would be leading this year’s all the curricular and co-curricular activities and work with the team effort and bring out new and challenging events with all the success.

Investiture means a formal investing of a person with authority, power, right, office and dignity. It’s rightly said that ‘leaders are not born, they are made’. Year after year, it reminds us of the trust and confidence that we repose in our newly elected and selected student council members. Donning the mantle of responsibility, they all pledge to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by rules and regulations of the Institute.

The Investiture Ceremony was graced by the presence of Willis Langford, Avnet-Director, Global-Diversity Equity & Inclusion. It was indeed an honor of having such Chief Guest for presiding the function.

The function was compered by Prof. Jaffer Department of English. It began with an Invocation song by Ms. Shivani and Ms. Manisha, Ms. Kashma, SWO delivered the welcome address.

The badging ceremony of the newly elected candidates was carried out by Willis Langford, Chief guest and Dr.Srinidhi K.Parthasarathi, Principal.

The Oath taking ceremony was led by Ms. Shobha S, Student Welfare Officer. The Office bearers and class representatives pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honor and glory of the institution.

The Chief Guest, Willis Langford, Avnet-Director, Global-Diversity Equity & Inclusion, shared his thoughts and experiences in life and admonished the students as to how one’s own life experience, moral values, discipline in life can help to shape the future and become a good leader. He encouraged all the students to always walk on the correct path, stick to it and be the change. His inspiring examples from his own life experiences were the excellent means to make students understand how to invest one’s life and also be a very good leader.

Then the President of Student Council, Mr. Glen Elestein Fernandez student of V semester BCOM shared his views with the audience with a presentation including plans for the academic year.

The principal Dr,Srinidhi.K.Parthasarathi congratulated the newly elected Office Bearers and wished them to solemnly take their duties and responsibilities with utmost dedication and diligence. He motivated the members of the student council to keep up the good spirit despite of all the obstacles and challenges that life brings in front of them.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms.Harshitha, SWO and the program had witnessed a smooth transition.
