M.Sc. Mathematics

MSc in Mathematics is a two-year postgraduate degree programme conducted in affiliation to Bengaluru North University, and spread over four semesters.

The objective of the M.Sc. programme in Mathematics is to provide its students a thorough knowledge of applicable mathematics, and to develop their expertise in applying the methods and tools of mathematics to problems in science and engineering. To achieve this, it is crucial that students gain exposure to the fields of simulation and mathematical modeling of such problems, mathematical analysis of these models, and implementation of results. Moreover, they should have sufficient insight into the underlying mathematical theory in order to be able to develop new mathematical methods and techniques, if needed
