Indian Academy Degree College-Autonomous (IADC-A) believes in promoting research and intellectual contribution by providing a conducive academic environment thereby continually improving the academic efficacy of faculty and students on an incessant basis. The institution actively promotes research and inculcates research culture by encouraging faculty members and students to do research in newly emerging areas which help them develop highly valued research competencies. Research is considered as the pinnacle of a student’s education and plays a dynamic role in enhancing the quality of education. The faculty of IADC-A have researchers of good repute in Sciences Commerce, and Humanities. Many of the members of faculty are Ph. D holders and continue their research actively by engaging themselves in various major and minor research projects and transforming the same to research articles that are published regularly in high rated journals. Every year, the institution provides seed grants for the research proposals submitted by the faculty members. This grant given for the pilot work has paved way to the researchers to write proposals to obtain some of the Government grants/funds for research. The college is conferred with DBT-STAR College status and is a platform for various functional DST-SERB, VGST, KSCST and SPICE projects. It has a recognized research centre in life sciences. Adequate infrastructural facilities are provided to the researchers at IADC-A who are working in different research areas. Detailed Research policy guidelines are designed by the Research committee to encourage the scientific temperament of the faculty members and students. The UGC approval of 12 (B) and 2(f) status to Indian Academy can be leveraged to facilitate and optimize the research output. The institution has been proactive in inspiring its faculty and students to undertake collaborative and inter disciplinary research especially through the MoUs and collaborations with other institutions and industries which results in fusing knowledge streams of various disciplines and fields. The IPR cell and [email protected] intend to encourage creativity and innovation and also create awareness of importance of IP. The Institution has strengthened its identity with a close intertwining of teaching and research.
