Event Name: Spectrum 2022-20 23.
Indian Academy Degree College, Autonomous, Bangalore, positioned among the top-notch colleges in Bangalore, Karnataka, also received A++ grade in the third cycle of NAAC reaccreditation, providing quality education has always aimed at enhancing students’ skill development, talents and thinking capabilities which helps in the development of students in a holistic way.
All roads led to Indian Academy Degree College –Autonomous as SPECTRUM 2022-2023, an intra-collegiate fest which is a mélange of SAHITHYA, SAMSKRUTHIKA AND SAMBRAMHA, was held on 23th and 25th November 2022 in the college campus. The event was diligently organized. This event enabled students to participate as well as exhibit their skills and talents. This fosters the spirit of teamwork, enhances youth’s creativity and potential, kindles students to think out of the box, and also provides an enjoyable platform to inculcate sportsmanship and leadership qualities in a fun and frolic way
SPECTRUM is the intra-collegiate cultural show organized by the Student Welfare Officers and the most enthusiastic Student Council. With the overall support of the management, this mega event unveils the most spectacular talents of our students in distinguished events.
The most special thing about the event was the video presentation on Achievements of Indian Academy. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr.Maltesh Badiger, a renowned theatre artist who has also directed more than 50 plays on social issues, and a member of Karnataka Nataka Academy.
The fest was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Maltesh Badiger, Mrs. Bharathi T. – Secretary, Indian Academy Education Trust, Dr. Srinidhi K. Parthasarathi – Principal, Indian Academy Degree College -Autonomous, Prof. Shalini S. – Vice –Principal, Indian Academy Degree College – Autonomous, Mrs. Shobha S – Convener of the event.
Altogether 20 events were conducted at the campus through preliminary rounds and finals were conducted on 23th and 25th November 2022 .The events were organized by Student Welfare Officers and Student Council Members, and all the UG and PG students participated in various events with great enthusiasm. The management did its best to nurture the talents and to develop the spirit of competition among the students.
Various off stage events were conducted on 23th November 2022 like rangoli, face-painting, best out of waste, mehndi, cooking without fuel, street play, video making etc. Students participated in huge numbers with enthusiasm in these enthralling and wondrous events and exhibited their hidden talents.
On 25th November 2022, on stage events like Solo, group and folk dances, solo, duet and group singing, mime, and fashion show were conducted from 9:00 am – 5pm .All these events really enthralled the viewers and provided a platform for our students to show case and hone their art.
The winners of the various events were announced during the program.
Support and guidance from the student welfare officers and student council members along with all the faculty members, and persistent zeal of student coordinators and event heads made the fest a resounding success.
