NCC is a voluntary uniformed scheme of Indian Armed Forces provided in colleges and universities to train students in military discipline and leadership qualities. Special quota is given by the government to successful NCC cadets in higher studies and jobs. The 6/B Company of 8 Karnataka Battalion is stationed at Indian Academy.
NSS is a voluntary scheme of Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India that enables students to contribute to the nation building through local community service.
Indian Academy encourages students to participate in the programme of Indian Red Cross Society in their mission to protect human life and promote health
