The Teachers’ Day celebrations at Indian Academy Group of Institutions (IAGI) took place on the 5th of September 2024 in the vibrant auditorium of Indian Academy Pre-University College (IAPUC). The event, hosted by IAPUC, was graced by esteemed faculty members of IAGI, along with our visionary Chairman, Dr. T. Somasekhar, and the respected Secretary, Mrs. Bharathi T.
A highlight of the occasion was the in-house felicitation of senior lecturers — Mrs. Jayakumari A. from IAPUC, Mr. Vijayakumar K. from IADC, and Ms. Radha P. from IACN — who were honoured for their exemplary service and dedication by our Chairman. The event also featured a thought-provoking symposium titled “Nurturing Creativity and Critical Thinking: The Teachers’ Role.”
The panelists, including Dr. M.A. Ramaswamy, Advisor at Agastya International, Dr. B.S. Dwarakanath, Research Advisor at IADC, Mrs. Renuka B.L., Founder and Lead Facilitator of ACE IT, Ms. Sneha Walke, Founder of Little Things Co., and Ms. Sailaja Vittaldev, HOS at The School of Raya, made the symposium highly engaging. This was followed by a lively Question and Answer session, where the panelists responded to insightful queries from the audience.
Besides the intellectual nourishment provided throughout the program, a delicious lunch was also served, adding to the warm and celebratory atmosphere. The Chairman’s Teacher’s Day address brought the program to a meaningful close, as he shared words of wisdom and expressed heartfelt appreciation for the teachers who have played an instrumental role in the institution’s growth and success. The day celebrated the dedication, professional development, and creativity of educators, leaving everyone inspired.
