Zoology
Due to the wide variety of animals and the intricate processes that take place inside them, zoology is one of the most interdisciplinary fields of study. Zoology studies sometimes begin with a general study of the main ideas of biosciences, including crucial chemicals, genes, and cells. These courses are typically provided as a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree. You will study taxonomy, ecology, fundamental biochemistry, biodiversity, and animal behaviour in addition to learning how to protect and care for animal life. After finishing their post-graduate studies, candidates can choose to pursue a Ph.D. in Zoology. Candidates for this field primarily learn about the anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, ecology, behaviour, and conservation of animals. After earning a B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Zoology, there are numerous career choices. Candidates can find employment prospects in governmental offices, environmental organisations, academic institutions, the biotech, pharmaceutical, and environmental/ecological industries.
Microbiology
The study of single-celled, multicellular, and acellular microorganisms—as well as how each affects and contributes to the environment—is known as microbiology. It covers a variety of disciplines, such as medical, clinical research, agriculture, nanotechnology, chemical technology, and dairy, among others. Microorganisms are undoubtedly present everywhere, and the fact that they have a wide range of environmental effects makes the research field exciting and captivating. The world has benefited from the development of dairy products, medications, vaccinations, enzymes, and vitamins, among other things. In addition, microbiology is concerned with how microorganisms interact with one another and with the environment as a whole. Microbiology is a popular topic in the fields of medicine, genetics, immunology, and food science for this same reason. Most prestigious universities and colleges in India provide undergraduate and graduate programmes.
